There is a lot going on in the art world right now,  this art newsletter aims to give you some information about some local goings on. First and foremost, Lennox Arts Collective, of which I am a member, will have two exhibitions before Christmas 2015 .Yes, time does fly!

There are some interesting art exhibitions on at present –

Caldera Art 2015. One of my artworks ‘Once upon a time…’ was selected for this – the opening is 31st October at 3pm at the World Heritage Rainforest Centre, Murwillumbah. The exhibition has been open since 9th October and can be viewed online at  www.calderaart.org.au

Sunrise Art Exhibition – an annual exhibition hosted by Paul and Esther Button at 20 Blue Seas Pde, Lennox Head, will feature a number of artists including myself, Mark Waller and Jen Banks from Lennox Arts Collective. Opening night is 20 November 2015 .

Hurford Hardwood Portrait Prize exhibition runs 31 October to 28 November at Lismore Regional Gallery – Winners  to be announced Saturday 31 October by Fiona Lowry, winner of the 2014 Archibald Prize.

The Eutick Memorial Still Life Award opens on 6th November at Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery –http://www.coffsharbour.nsw.gov.au/our-community/facilities-parks-and-places/regional-gallery/Pages/EMSLA.aspx

I am planning some interesting Saturday workshops next year for you – including ‘The Fundamentals of Volume and Form’ as taught to me by Jennifer Keeler-Milne at the Art Gallery of NSW recently – see the link here https://christinereadart.com/drawing-workshop-at-agnsw/.

Wednesday mornings 9.30- 12.30 pm will continue until the 9th December 2015. Wednesday group will resume on 13th January 2016.
