Transforming a blank canvas is challenging and taking a series of photographs of your work as it progresses can be very instructive in evaluating and critiquing your work – I do it all the time. You will see a few examples below:

I enjoy creating still life works – here is one called ‘Carved Head with Apples’ you can see in this slideshow how it evolved and was created using objects, flowers and fabric from my home.
