So we have passed the autumn equinox – March Art Newsletter is here and its time to think about what you would like to do creatively over the cooler months! My new art class timetable to September 2017 is now on my website – I hope you find something you would like to do in there. As always I do a casual class on Wednesdays from 9.30 until 12.30 and a more structured class with a theme once a month on Saturdays. You can access the timetable here – April to September classes.
Please take care to note that I will be away from 5th May until 24th June 2017 to take a group of fabulous artists to France on a retreat called ‘A Taste of Impressionism’ I will be blogging during this experience, so if you don’t want to miss any posts please subscribe to my website. I will also be visiting my children and grandchildren who all now live in the UK.
I am also running an art retreat at Nimbin over the weekend 31 March – 3 April which is fully subscribed, but I will hold another at the same venue 18 – 21 August 2017 – let me know if you are interested and you can see the last one in 2016 at this link – Nimbin 2016.
Sometimes I am asked if I have my work for sale outside of the Lennox Arts Collective Gallery and the answer is yes – I have some work in Sydney at Breathing Colours Gallery 446 Darling St Balmain – their link is here – Breathing Colours. They carry some of my paintings and tea towels.
I am also on the website of Art Arena in New York – you can see their website here – Art Arena.
Lennox Arts Collective (LAC) at 2/72 Ballina St, Lennox Head is my home gallery and where most of my workshops are held – although I do run some in other places when requested – I will be running one on ‘seascapes’ for a group at Tweed Arts Unlimited at the end of April which should be a lot of fun!
So, what is happening in March Art at LAC?
We have a fabulous exhibition of photographs by Rudiger Wasser at present – this runs until Thursday 30th March and includes wonderfully detailed and fascinating images on aluminium. They are inspired by Rudiger’s eye for exceptional architectural images of our modern urban environment and fascinating candid shots of interiors and people – trains, art galleries and more.
Do visit the gallery and take a look – this is world class photography and has deservedly won prizes.
