One of my favourite books at the moment is ‘Dreaming in Colour’ by Kaffe Fassett – the pictures above and below are taken from the book. The one above is a tapestry and below is a quilt. Amazing artist! Do yourself a favour and get a copy. I bought one for my mother who is a keen knitter and then had to have one myself!
Margaret Olley’s ‘Bush Lemons on a White Cloth’ is just one of the brilliantly coloured works that I saw at the Tweed River Gallery in April. There is to be a new wing and ‘artist in residence’ program endowed by the late artist at this fabulous gallery in Murwillumbah NSW.
I bought this fabric in Ghanerao, India on my visit in 2011 – doesn’t it just GLOW with colour?
